If you are thinking about relocating, North Tyneside offers outstanding opportunities for business development and a top-quality lifestyle – the area boasts the UK’s largest and most successful office park, two Enterprise Zones and superb transport links.

Cofely SuezCofely, a GDF Suez company, created 200 new jobs in the region after setting up a major operation on Quorum Business Park.

The company, a leading integrated and energy services provider, employs over 15,000 people in the UK with a turnover of £1 billion.

The investment followed a strategic decision to move a number of its company functions to a new shared services facility in North Tyneside.

The centre provides customer support and internal services across operations at all of its UK locations. The move followed Cofely’s recent acquisitions of Balfour Beatty WorkPlace and Lend Lease FM, both facilities management businesses, buyouts which have substantially grown the company’s footprint nationally and in the North East.

The 26,000 sq ft office on Quorum is  home to around 50 existing staff who relocated from other sites in the region and around 200 new jobs are due to be created. The jobs will be across a range of skill sets, covering different levels within the company.

Cofely, which is headquartered in Buckinghamshire, said the move signified its commitment to the North East and the region’s skilled and motivated workforce, together with lower operating costs.

Cofely has existing links in the Tyneside area due to its working partnership with North Tyneside Council.
