If you are thinking about relocating, North Tyneside offers outstanding opportunities for business development and a top-quality lifestyle – the area boasts the UK’s largest and most successful office park, two Enterprise Zones and superb transport links.

Mayborn Group moves into redesigned headquarters

Mayborn Group, the company behind the Tommee Tippee brand, has unveiled its newly refurbished North Tyneside head office.

The company has invested over £2m in the development of the new base at Balliol Business Park in a bid to attract the talent needed to spur on international growth.

After an extensive remodelling by specialist workplace design firm Ben Johnson Interiors, the new 30,000 sq ft space offers a colourful working environment for the company’s 170 North East staff.

A new ground floor meeting area is split into “park” and “beach” themed areas, comprising picnic tables and swinging chairs. There are several themed meeting rooms based on toddler activities and the global locations where Mayborn operates.

A variety of seating zones, with café, lounge and tiered seating, along with games areas, have been installed throughout a large breakout area.

The first and second floors, though designed to be more “business-orientated”, include meeting areas with colourful decoration, sound-proofed booths and large kitchen areas.

Steve Parkin, chief executive of Mayborn Group, said: “We are delighted and proud of our new HQ here on Tyneside as the working environment brings our purpose and values to life in such a unique and compelling way.

“We are here to help mums and dads enjoy and embrace the rollercoaster ride of parenting, and the new office gives our employees a fantastic environment from which to do this, as well as providing the kind of space which will help us to attract the right talent to fuel our plans for international growth.”

Emma Dodsley, marketing director, Ben Johnson Interiors, added: “We are tremendously proud to have worked with Mayborn Group on the interior design of their HQ in the North East.

“Mayborn Group considered the wellbeing of their current and future teams throughout this project. We believe the ‘wow-factor’ of Mayborn House will offer a huge sense of pride and enjoyment to all who are lucky enough to be based here.”
